Greetings fellow Rotaractors and friends.
With the first quarter of the Rotaract year behind us, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the support given to the District team and myself. I would also like to congratulate every Rotaractor for a very productive first quarter. Achievements as it relates to individual clubs and the district’s objectives have allowed the district to come one step closer in achieving its theme for the year “Passion through Service, Sustainability through Training.” As we continue into the second quarter, let us not only remember our achievements but work towards correcting the gaps in our short comings, using this as a building block for continuous improvement.
During the last quarter the district has seen significant developments such as the acceptance of the District Plans and Objectives, the establishment of a Regional District Training Committee, the new and revised district newsletter, and the upgrading and streamlining of our district website. I appeal to all Rotaractors to take advantage of these establishments which can help to develop and promote clubs within the district.
For this quarter, I encourage all Rotaractors to continue their amazing work and aim for excellence in all projects undertaken. On a district level, the next major event is Presidents’ Meeting hosted by the Rotaract club of St Lucia. I must recognize the efforts of the planning committee for their excellent and efficient work thus far in preparing for one of the largest, well attended Presidents’ Meeting of District 7030. Rotaractors please prepare yourself to Learn, Grow, Lead and indulge in the cultures of the beautiful Island of St Lucia.
Once again thank you for your support, and continue to strive for Passion through Service, Sustainability through Training. Remembering that “the things that are worthwhile take time, and it is not the I’s of the world but the We’s who achieve them”.
