Rotaract Club of Paramaribo – Christmas Dinner
Last year RCP had 2 Christmas dinners. The 1st was for members only. The second one was for members and guests. The VIP guests were the 30 children of 3 children’s homes. A parliamentarian and the president of Rotaract Club F.R.E.S.H. came to join us as well. We began the evening by praying and thanking God. After that we had some speeches. And then came the delicious dinner of Lucky Twins Restaurant. It was truly amazing to see how the children ate their food and really enjoying it too. After dinner the children’s homes gave a presentation. ROM BOM ROM BOM BOM went the Spanish song our Honorary Member sang for the attendees. And guess what happened after that? The children got giftssss……….Yeahhh……. Every single one of them. Even the mothers got a little something something. The evening ended with 3 popular singers of Suriname who came to sing a song. ‘Singi Gi den Oema’ was one of the favorites. And of course some pictures were made at the end. What a great feeling this was. Giving back to our community. Don’t you agree? Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
